Carpe Diem!

I love words, word origins and phrases. As I was skimming through different pieces of literature one day, I decided to look a bit deeper into the origin of the Latin phrase, 'carpe diem'. Noted in the Phrase Finder on Google, I learned the phrase is " 'Usually translated from the Latin as 'seize the day', or sometimes as 'enjoy the day, pluck the day when it is ripe' ".

One of the weekly messages received from Jewel Diamond Taylor, dynamic Public Speaker and one of my self-appointed mentor's, inspired me as follows on the subject:

"This is a day and week you have never seen before. Open the
present of life God has given you today. Seize the moment, seize this precious day. Do not waste it.

Get moving. Be thankful. Be focused. Be productive. Be mindful of who and what activities get your energy and time.
Remember to refer to your things-to-do-list. This is one habit that has saved me time, energy and money. If your list is out of sight, it's out of mind and most likely won't get done.

As you let go of the "woulda, coulda and shoulda", you will have more energy to make the most of the present called today. If you can learn to shake off the stress and drama in your life, you will have more energy, faith and peace to move forward."

"God bless you and stay in the Light." ~ Jewel Diamond Taylor
